I usually mute the commercial when we are watching "live tv". I didn't think
about pausing the TV for a few minutes and then fast forward through the
commercial. Using "slow" also sounds like a good idea.
I guess I still could use a remote with a mute timer for those few times we
are watching another program while Tivo is recording (I have the cable input
split).
