32 inch lcd makes loud pop

I have a Toshiba 32 inch LCD model 32av500u. After it is on for 15 to 20 minutes I get a loud pop from the speakers if I turn the set off then back on. This only happens when the set has been on for a while and only if I turn it off then back on within 15 seconds. If I wait 20 seconds there is no loud pop. The TV seems to be working fine except for this. I tried the exact same TV in my local store and it did not do this. I called Toshiba and they didn’t know if it was a problem or not so I called my local Toshiba repair shop and they told me it’s normal but if I wanted some one to look at it I have to wait 3 to 4 weeks. Unfortunately my 30 day return policy has expired by 4 days.

found 40 volts ac on my cable wire. i isolated it down to my cable box as well as an older tv in the basement. could that have damaged my new lcd ??
