So I'm currently running 32gbs (2x16) of Ram at 2666Mhz.

Upgrading to an Alienware that has room for 4 slots. I have an extra module that is 4gbs also at 2666Mhz but a different model.

Is it worth adding to have a total of 36gbs or is it going to slow down the overall speed or not make it worth it?

I'm currently running:
Patriot Viper Steel Peformance DDR4 16GB 2666MHz CL18 SODIMM Memory

The extra module is:

Micron MTA4ATF51264HZ-2G6E1 Non ECC PC4-2666V 4GB DDR4 at 2666MHz

Thank you!

Solution
It may make the system unstable to mix in a different make/model of memory. You'll gain nothing in terms of performance.

I suggest leaving this alone.
