3ds Max and the best hardware for rendering

Hi there :)

I've started to work on 3ds Max, and made my first charterer, Long story short, when i want to render it, it really takes a long time, especially when "Hair and Fur" is applied.
I also work on other applications like After effects and Zbrush etc, but they don't take that much time to render.

So; i want to upgrade my system and to have like the ultimate speed i could get, money is not a problem.

My current system:

Graphics card: Asus GTX 580 (directcu ii)
MOBO: p7p55d
Hard drive: 120 GB corsair force ssd

You already have a good rig, but rendering hogs system resources and could take quite a long time.

If you can afford to set up a small render farm, go for it. It’s the best way to speed up renders. You can keep your current rig and buy another one and connect both computers via network on a switch. Just a second machine will make a difference, it will carry on working while you setup the next scene, then start your workstation rendering overnight or whenever you are not using it.
