i say i think, cos the box says "hp ipaq 4100 series" or something. is that
ok? im sure its a generic series number and theres a 4150 inside, but i
thought id ask anyway.

also, is there any way of checking that this is a genuine UK model? any give

Sorry this isn't an answer, but as you're UK-based
could you tell me where from and how much?

Thanks,

Spammy,
I think it will tell you in systems info (a friend has my 4355 so cannot
confirm) but for sure, take out the battery and look on the label, above the
second bar code on the right it will say the model number.
Also on the box should be a white stick on tag on the top of the box that
has 4 barcodes, Yours should say in big block letters. iPAQ H4150, .......
Right at the top of the label. that one also contains the HP model number,
and serial number (bar codes two and three).
I was joking around with the cashier at the local grocery store and she
ran it thru her scanner. Came up as "Non Food Item" (hardware ?) but did
get the model number and serial number right..that was kinda interesting...
