4GB only 3GB usable

hey guys i have a toshiba A100 with a core duo cpu with 32bit vista ultimate, it says i can only use 3 out of the 4gb installed how can i fix this issue? here are some pics, P.S if needed i can install Win 7 if thats needed.

That 1GB not used is actually reserved for Windows. The rest is free to use on anything else.

Probably the gpu is integrated and using that 1gb as its VRAM.

No, and you dont want to. If Windows runs out of RAM for itself - the computer will be unusable.

When I say reserved, I mean Windows is actively using it.

It has a discreet nvidia gpu.
