Hello guys,

I've got a nice little 5.1 PC speaker set by logitech. Because it was intended for pc use, the 5 speakers go to the sub with RCA plugs. The input is in the sub and consist out of 3 3.5mm jacks.
Now I want to use this speaker set for my tv, which, naturally, only supports optical output and 2x RCA (which isn't enough for surround).
I have a simple 5.1 sound card lying around with has 4+1 3.5mm jacks (OUT, the '1' I don't know what it's for) + digital in AND out. The card is the Terratec Aureon Fun.

Now to the point, is it possible to create a 3x 3.5mm jack -> Optical adapter so I can use this speaker set on my tv? If no, are there other options? Of course you have these,

but 50 euros is about 65 USD which is almost what the speakers alone costed.

Thanks a lot!

Solution
you are correct that rca is not enough for surround sound.

the only option would be an optical conversion box which is likely worth more than your speakers are.

sorry to say but its true.
