5.1 Speaker System

I am planning to invest in a home cinema system for gaming and listening to music in my room, I'm just wondering if I will need a sound card to play games in 5.1 surround sound?

Check if you got 5.1 ports on your motherboard, if yes you don't need sound card, unless you want better sound quality, not all games support 5.1 surround sound.
Also whats your budget to spend on 5.1 system, for example i have Logitech Z506 5.1 75W its perfect for my small room, has a lot of bass to it and sounds just great!
