With the current prices, with a cracked screen it will be cheaper to get a new HDTV rather than putting money into it. At least by me, the last time I brought a HDTV in for service, the price they quoted me was $100 more than the cost of a brand new one.
I got a Panasonic TV, but that was quite a gamble, because I heard they have like the worst customer service in history. So I don't know if you wanna go with them, it may take like a few months, they're just extremely slow. If my TV ever have a problem, I think I'll have better luck with a local PC repair place than with Panasonic, but they do make some really good TVs though, that's about the only good thing
