Recently got it as a replacement for my pavilion dv6. Lasted 1.5 hrs watching movie in vlc. Is it normal? Also querry shows it is a NiMh type. What is the average lifetime for it?
Depends a lot on how much power your laptop uses. I'd say that 1.5 hours is a bit on the low end, even for video viewing. Did you have a lot of background stuff running, or the screen on max brightness?
Well... Reading some info showed that I lacked knowledge on the matter. I was actually thinking that more mah give more lifetime. Nope... WH is a lifetime identifier. So I got 48Wh batt, and my HP lap eats 25-30Wh, thus 48/30 is 1.5 hrs. Damn... Good thing I'm not a travelling type
BTW.. One time the bat identifies itself as Ni-Mh andd the other time as Li-On, and the voltage differs with each time from 11.1 to 12.6. Is it a normal behaviour?
