$600 laptop suggestions

I want a new laptop for grade 9 and I want a minimum of a Intel core i5 ivy bridge with 4+ gb of ram and at least 500 gb of hard drive storage (preferably 7200 rpm). I'm very tech savvy and I will be using it for gimp, Sony Vegas, blender, power director and a bunch of other miscellaneous programs. The problem is that I'm only willing to spend 600 dollars. So far I have been looking at the dell inspiron 15r. I would also prefer a 14 or 15 inch screen. Do you have any suggestions?
