64 bit laptop

I am thinking of buying win7 prof 64 bit software.
my old laptop runs that at the mom and I do not want to get win10.
The question is: will I be able to get a laptop that can run a 64 bit anytime?It can take a year before I buy!!
I am not computer wise at all ..as u can read!!

any new hardware can run 64bits windows. the greatest limitation on the old 32bits version is the 4gb ram limit.
