I just got a data cable today for my VX6000 phone, and was wondering how I
can get online via VZW?

I have found two ways so far:
Verizon high speed (230kbps)
Verizon normail speed (14.4kbps)

I dont have any sort of data plan. If I use either of these will i be
charged? Or will it just subtract from my minutes?

Thanks for your input.

If you have an America's Choice plan, you can have the NA/MOU
feature enabled, which will charge the calls as minutes (with free
nights and weekends). If you got an AC plan recently, it may already
be enabled. Otherwise I'm not sure.

This is not official, but I have Mobile Web
and have the Mobile Office kit. I use the 14.4
with the compression Venturi. It gives me about
30 kb/sec. I also at times use the 1XRTT although
not signed up for it and get anywhere from 50 to
100 kb/sec. Haven't been charged extra for it so
far inasmuch as have nights and weekends free.
However, might be billed. Don't know. As you
may know EVDO is around the corner with megabit
download speeds. Big cities of course. That's the
problem with high speed; It's not everywhere while
14.4 is available wherever digital exists. With
Mobile Net you also get connection to internet.
Think that's accurate. Luck

Spike, what is the 1XRTT and how do you use it. I have the mobile office kit.
I use the 14.4 k speed, but cut off the pictures on the browser so as to move a
little more quickley. tkx guy

Here are the instructions I found:

Verizon High Speed (230kbps)
PhoneNumber = #777
Username = "your phone number"@vzw3g.com
Password = vzw

Verizon Normal Speed (14.4kbps)
PhoneNumber = #777
PhoneNumber = #777
Username = qnc
Password = qnc

Hope that helps.
