80s akai hifi stack + eq (setup assist)

Hi folks, this goes out to all my old school hifi bros. I just finished cleaning and refurbishing an old akai home setup that I bought at a yard sale ($20 for all of it) but I am having a little trouble wrapping my head around how to incorporate the eq into the mix, I think it's the generational gap where the the tape loop concept eludes me ( I never had an eq before)

All hardware functions beautifully when patched without the eq)

This is what I have, I can't seem to find any manuals online so I'll list all the outputs/inputs.

Ap-821 - phonograph

Cs-m3 - cassette deck
Line in / line out

At-K11 - tuner
Output

Am-U11 - amplifier
Phono, tuner, aux,
tape (rec+play)

Jvc
Sea-40 - equalizer
Input, output, tape ( rec+play)

I would try amp rec to eq in, and eq out to amp play. If you want, put the tape deck into the eq's rec/play loop (rec to in, out to play)

Thanks, just figured it out. Went from amp rec /eq in, amp play/ eq out, eq rec / casette in, eq play / casette out. Thanks.
