Hi I upgraded to Windows 10. This has been installed on a SSD and works. Since installing I got periodic blue screens of death. Finally Windows 10 would not boot at all. I also have an 840EVO SSD used for data - I disconnected this drive and now Windows 10 boots fine. When I plug the 840EVO SSD backin - eventually windows dies and then will not reboot with the drive still plugged in.
1) How do I determine what the problem is here?
2) How can I access the files on the SSD - or even run some scan on it?

I would like to use this SSD (1 TB) but can't figure out what the problem is. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Try to install the latest firmware of your SSD from the manufacturers site if there's any. If that will not work and you would like to access you files from it try using it first as an external driver. Use an enclosure that fits your SSD so it would act as an external drive so you would be able to access your files and run some scans with it.

Here's a sample of an enclosure that fits your SSD.
