Does 4gb and 8gb or memory make a lot of difference on a laptop? Will it affect the performance if I like to have a stream open while playing games and while im skyping with my friends?
The standard for pc's now is 8gb. It had to jump up from 4gb because we are now multitasking more than ever. Right now I have 13 pages open in Chrome. I've also got a lot of background tasks loaded and running - Avast, Printer, UEFI, Afetburner, Geforce Experience, Skype, Word, Games, IE9, etc etc. And now games are loading more and more into memory - See Watch Dogs.
I usually watch twitch stream while playing hearthstone or while waiting for a league of legends que (all while skyping with friends). Will I need an 8gb ram for all this?

Oh, if you are just watching a stream, then 4GB can be fine with twitch.tv and hearthstone up. 8GB will help, definitely, but it's not a must. I thought you meant that you were doing the streaming.
