I was thinking about getting the acer aspire v15 nitro black edition 4k. And I know I won't be able to play games in 4k resolution but how will it look playin games in 1080p on the 4k display. The only game I will be playing is advanced warfare

Well, the point I was trying to make is if you go down to a lower resolution on a 4k display, you may lose a little bit of the display.

Edit: So yeah, to answer your question above, yes, it may look...
If you want to play in 1080p, I'd buy a desktop instead, 4k laptops are like $1500, and I'm not sure if this little edge problem will affect the laptop or not, It has been a very long time since I have used a laptop. But when you go lower than 3840 x 2160 or higher than that than it was suppose to. The edge of your display gets cut off by about an inch.

I don't really care about playing in 4k, because I mostly do graphic design, so I want the better display, but would playing these games in 1080p on the 4k display look bad.

Like when I open my applications or games playing in windowed mode, I can't see the X on the top right side to close it. Or for windows toolbar at the bottom, I can only see half of it, I can maybe only see only 1/4 of the windows logo on the bottom left corner. That's what I mean by the edges are cut off.
