Hello,
I've been having a problem with gpu crashing a lot lately. I downloaded a program called techpowerup gpu-z to follow the temperature of my gpu. and it seems that it crashes around 85C. So I would like to know a good way to clean my fan since its making weird noises. I've tried vacuum from the exhaust and the inhaler of the fan. But it didnt seem to work. here is the laptop i own HP ENVY dv7 Notebook PC. Im really afraid of opening it.

"making weird noises" Have you ever thought that maybe these noises are the last screams of a dying fan?

If you are having issues with cleaning it out without opening it, then the obvious answer is to open it up - either by you, or a qualified technician who can also determine if the fan needs replacing.

if the fan makes a groaning noise when 1st started up then the noise slowly goes away, the fan needs to be replaced. had to do that for a customer's laptop as it was overheating because of the faulty fan. works alright now with new fan.
