A new Laptop

Hey there,

I am thinking about buying a new laptop.
The primary use of it will be Gaming, and school work.
It doesn't have to be the Best Games, just something to do at work.
I am not sure how much I want to spend on it, but I was thinking about 500-700 range.

Was wondering what you guys think. I saw few Asus and Acer that are not too bad, but wanted to make sure I didn't miss something good.

Hi Alex,

Assuming you won't be playing graphics-intense games, you should check out the Acer Aspire AS7740-5691. It has a 2.13 GHz Intel Core i3-330M processor and a nice 17.3" screen.

Which model were you looking at?

But, it's 700 so the top of my Budget, and since I don't plan on playing very graphic intensive games I wanted to see what options are available for 600$ range, But I might just have to throw out those 700.

Hi,

If you don't need an optical drive, you should check out the Toshiba Satellite T135D-S1325WH ($599). It is very sleek and light-weight. I really depends on the type of games you will be playing but it is another option to consider. It's portability is a huge plus.

The problem is that moving from that Acer to something cheaper will give you a significantly weaker graphic card like Intel 4500MHD which is a low-end card for gaming,if its OK with you,then here is one
