Acer Aspire 2920z new battery not detected

Hello,

I bought a new batter for my laptop because the old one wasnt viable anymore.
The new battery has more mAh and more cells but the problem is that the laptop doesnt recognize the battery. Im using windows 8.

Let me guess... a NON genuine Chinese COPY battery ?? That was really cheap...

RETURN it ....and buy a good one...

Lol, no it isn't...it just LOOKS like it is... the CHINESE make VERY good imitations... including stickers/writing/colour etc...

Only you know that, but it may not....

Leave it charging overnight , then in morning, go into Windows, UNPLUG the charger.... if it cuts off instantly (goes black) its NOT charging...
