I have an Acer Aspire 5336 for some time now, and it never gave me any problems until recently.
Whenever I browse through my pictures or watch something online the screen goes black.
Just for the sake of clarity, the screen goes black, not blue or dead (off), the laptop continues to work, but for it to work properly again a hard reset is required.
I don't know whether its the screen that is failing, or some drivers, or another component.
Any advice before I take it for to checked out and hopefully repair?

The spec. are:
Display adapter:
Mobile Intel(R) 45 express chipset family (microsoft corporation-WDDM 1.1)
Processor:
Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 900 @2.20GHz 2.19Ghz
RAM:
1 GB

It runs on Win7 Ultimate SP 1

Updated the driver, now I'll just wait for the problem to reoccur. Hopefully it won't.
This started happening when I reinstated the OS.
hang-the-9 tnx for the reply, as I said, I'm hoping that the driver update fixed the problem, if not, I'll try your advice.
