acer aspire 5738z laptop on but no picture on screen, was working 5mins ago. help please

hi im tryin gto fix my friends laptop, had to start it in safe mode system restored it then tried to boot up in normal mode. computer is on screen is blank

What was wrong with it to start with? Perhaps the system restore made maters worse. If you can still get into safe mode, you may have to restore to factory. Could be corrupt HDD sectors, or bad RAM as well.
