Have an acer aspire 5742 that won't turn on. What happend in the events leading upto this was the following:
- In system settings it was showing that it had 4GB RAM but that 2.5GB usable.
-I googled about this and was directed to open msconfig->Boot->Advanced Options-> Maximum Memory-> Select 4GB->Restart
-When i restarted the computer started for one or 2 seconds and restarted, repeatedly.
-Then i tried to reseat the ram etc etc,
-Now laptop won't turn on at all.
-When i plug the charger I get a charging light.
Any help please? I am pretty new to all of this
