hey guys,i got Acer Aspire 5290g laptop then i don't know what happen, suddenly the left side keyboard don't work ( wireless button, web, mail, bluetooth) and now i can't turn on my wifi,i searched everywhere on how i can turn it but no luck,i don't care about the other buttons,i just want my wireless button to work, unfortunately the wifi button function like "tab" button, that's why i can't use it to turn on my wifi.
here are the things i tried to fix it but still doesn't work
-i tried to reformat my laptop but still it doesn't work,
-i read a thread where there's someone with the same problem and he said he upgraded his laptop into windows 7 so i did the same but it still doesn't work
-i also tried to change the keyboard in control panel, but no luck
-i tried to remap my keyboard using third party software like sharpkey, keytweaks, etc but still doesn't work

The non working keys are not part of the keyboard. They're built into the palm rest bezel. They are all attached via ribbon cable under the keyboard. First thing I'd check is where the ribbon cable connects to the MoBo.

Easily accessible under the keyboard.

The other end of the cable has a similar connection on the daughterboard under the non-working buttons (Right Side):

Requires almost complete laptop dis-assembly.
