Solved! Acer aspire 7 black screen

After turning on the laptop, two blue indicator and ‘acer’ word appears and auto repair starting. In less than 5secs, all black screen again. Can someone help? Thanks!

Aspire 7. After trying to install an external DVD player, the screen went black. After several tries, the screen appear ‘Accer’ and ‘auto repair ‘ but it just stays there for less than 5secs and screen went black again. Please help? Only gotten this laptop for less than 2 months

Switch the laptop on and if you have enough time to tap Escape, Delete and Function2 at the same time, one of them will let you into BIOS.

It's possible the external optical drive has interrupted the booting process so look at Boot Sequence or similar and make sure your hard drive is top of the list.
