My laptop doesn't turn on ...the hell is the problem ....charges but doesn't turn and the battery is not removable what the hell do I do ?

Hi,

Please do try these troubleshooting steps that may help in solving the issue.
- Do a hard reset, unplug the AC adapter then press and hold the power button for 20 seconds then see if it will boot up normally.
- Next is to test the AC adapter and see if it's supplying enough voltage to power the laptop or better yet try another AC adapter that has the same voltage.
- If there are lights on the laptop indicating it's on connect an external monitor again and see if you'll get a display.
- Also do try and reseat the RAM, remove them all for couple of seconds then put them back in making sure that they are all seated properly into each slot.
- If all these will not work the problem lies in the motherboard of your laptop.

I've tried doing that hard reset but doesn't seem to be working and I had the black display problem earlier but not now ...now it doesn't even turn on and the laptop is fully charged too ....my battery is all in built ,will I void the warranty if I take it out ?

Hi,

Had the very same issue with mine today (-74Q5 variant). Then I opened it up and disconnected the internal LiPo battery pack and also removed my 2 8GB RAM boards. I let it sit for about 20m then put it all back together and it worked.
But not before I realized there's a tiny hole in the back cover (see attached picture) with a little picture beside it, indicating it may not have been necessary at all to disassemble the entire computer to perform a hard reset...
So you may wanna try that reset button first.
