I just received an Acer E5-573G laptop, and upon turning it on, the screen did not work. I connected the computer to an external monitor, which worked just fine. When I checked the available displays, the system did not detect the laptop's primary screen. I am at a loss. I have tried reinstalling Windows and updating all of the drivers and the BIOS, all with no luck. Is it simply a faulty screen or is there some software problem I'm not aware of?

Hi,

Can you still see BIOS in the built in display of your laptop? If yes, that could only mean that the built in display is just disabled. Press the Windows key + P at the same time while inside windows and select Disconnect Projector or Computer Only then press Enter. If these doesn't work you may need to check the ribbon cable that connects the display to the motherboard. If all these will not work the problem lies in the display itself and replacing it would be the only solution.
