acer aspire laptop

my acer laptop aspire won't function at all except for power ? tried the battery removal thing and f2 volume up etc , still nothing, no sound just can feel a little air from the fan?

Bit more description? Screen black, or is there anything? Beeps, lights?

yip screen black no beeps or sound, power light is lit up when plugged in (the amber one) and battery light is on (blue one) to show it's receiving power?

no drive light (should be 2nd in from the right on a bigger Aspire)? Any wifi light (rightmost led on same type of Aspire)?

Is screen completely black or is there any sort of glow?

first light blue (shows power is on) second light amber (power plugged into electric) but no wifi light or any other

I am going to have to say it is dead (motherboard and/or CPU). If there is no HD activity and the screen is black (not even a glow from black).
