Acer aspire mouse works but no logon screen

I have a virus, and I tried clearing my memory. However when I tried to clear the memory card it got stuck at 99% so I turned it off then on. After that it says its going back to the first settings it was on then the screen goes black. I can still move my mouse but I cannot log on.

You said you completely emptied your hard drive?
I don't know how to tell you this, but you completely wiped your hard drive, nearly down to the last byte, Mice usually don't require any drivers..... thats why all you get is black.
