Acer aspire notebook hard drive start to spin up and stops

Hello,

I have a acer aspire 5515 noebook that when I attempt to book, the fan and hard drive starts for about 3 - 5 seconds and stops. The power lights remains on and the screen in black. After about approximately 30 seconds later the cooling fan comes on and run untill I press the power button and hold it in for about 20 seconds to shut the power off. Is this a sign of a failed CPU? failed Bios? Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated

Bump same problem but my hard drive keeps trying to spin up then shuts off then spins up then shuts off... anyhelp would be good checked the drive and it still works so its not that
