Hi. So I have an Acer Aspire one 725 laptop. I took out the hard drive and put it in my desktop computer, and wiped it clean and installed Windows 7 on it ( had win10 before). Then I put it back in the laptop and now it says 'No bootable device- Please restart' or something like that.

Is the laptop compatible with windows 7? It's from 2012 so I presumed it would be.

And is there anything I can do to fix this?

Windows 7 will work but you have to enter the BIOS and change Boot mode from UEFI to Legacy BIOS.
You should have done that before installing Windows 7.

Power on the laptop and immediately start pressing the F2 key until you enter the BIOS.
On the Main tab, make sure the F12 Boot Menu is Enabled.
