helo sir, i want to buy a new laptop with a average budget ....some of my friend told that acer is good in this section. I just want to know is acer is a very good company , what's the brand value acer in laptop market . Is acer is sells laptop just because of chip prices or acer is realy good company in laptop market like hp ,lenovo etc. I know this is not a question about hardware its about a brand value of a company can u help me sir. can you reply me for acer brand value.

Acer laptops themselves are in my opinion decent quality. But when something does go wrong with them the tech support blows. You have to fork out cash just to talk to them, nevermind have your computer fixed. I'm replacing my aspire 4520 (which has been dying for years, but it hangs in there) this week with a lenovo.

Acer is known for their Travelmate and TimelineX laptops. Never used or had one of their laptops. The Travelmate are their business oriented laptops so they probably have better build quality and technical support than their consumer level laptops.
