Acer laptop stats on black screen

Hi everyone

I have an Acer aspire one, not sure on specific model, running windows 8.

I was just using it and the screen went kinda choppy, and it said, "your computer has run into an error, it will restart" and it just turned off.

When it turned back on only the power led, when the hdd led normally does too, and nothing came up, just a black screen.

I let it sit there for a couple of hours, but still nothing.

I did some things that I read, like take out battery and hold power button and then put it back in. I can't do anything else since the screen is just black.

Also I should mention this is a school laptop, with school restrictions, but I'm on a vacation at the moment.

I have no idea what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also the hdd led doesn't turn on either
