Acer laptop wont boot up

hi can any one help me my laptop was working fine even went on skype then all of a sudden it went of so i tried to turn it back on and nothing happend i pressed the power button the light came on the fan started then went off, so i have tried all kinds even stripped it but nothing so any help would be greatful thank you
