I have an Acer M5-583P-6423 (15.6" Laptop 6GB 500GB)
Before the crash I had a Windows 8.1 BSOD message (I think it was RAM related but not sure).

When I press the power button the blue power light on the laptop blinks for a second, the screen flashes, but then the power goes out. Then this process keeps on repeating. Looks like no fans or hdd turn on.

I tried power draining the computer by holding the power button with the battery removed but the computer responds the same way (as noted above).

The laptop has 6gb of RAM but I only see a 2gb stick easily accessible
(inside look http://truejournals.com/2013/10/05/inside-the-acer-aspire-m5-583p/)

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi,

Please do try some of these troubleshooting steps that may help as well.

- Reseat the RAM's, remove them off from the laptop for couple of seconds then put them back in also making sure that they are all seated properly.
- Try another AC adapter that has the same voltage and see if it will turn the laptop on. Chances are it could just be your AC adapter that is faulty.
- If these 2 troubleshooting steps will not work you may consider calling ACER support for a repair if it's still under the factory warranty.
