Acer Nitro VN7-592G battery not working, only when plugged in (after dismantling)

I have opened up my Acer VN7-592G notebook and replaced my SSHD.

When I put it back together it would not turn on unless I plug it in. When it's off and plugged in, the usual orange led is not lit (indicating charging) only a blue light comes on showing it's plugged in.

Windows 10 shows 'Fully charged (100%)' .

I found many have the same issue and tightening the screws was recommended and I see it solved the problem for many.

However, I have tightened all the screws paying special attention to the one near where the battery reset pin is and where the you plug it in. Didn't help.

I have of course done the 4-5 second battery reset pin trick, leaving it off power for 5 mins after. Didn't solve it.

Before I took it apart the battery worked completely fine.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I took it apart one more time to find the interlock switch (suggested on another forum) and as I took it apart, I pressed it and I saw that it turns on fine while it's pressed. I also checked its 'counterpart' (the surface the button is getting pushed by - see the photo below) and ensured everything lines up and clicks nicely as I close it. Tightened the screws and it works.
