Hi there!

I was using my Acer Swift 5 this evening while charging it when it suddenly turned itself off.

After turning it back on I was unable to charge it anymore. I've tried using a different power socket and adjusting the wire but none of them seem to work? Under device manager, there are only 2 options under battery - "Microsoft AC Adapter" and "Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Battery", and I have uninstalled and reinstalled both to no avail either.

Can someone help me please?? )":

If you're PSU used a detachable 2 or 3 pin standard power lead try replacing that, otherwise it sounds like a dead PSU or socket. how old is the laptop? Do you have the ability to make a replacement?

Oh dear, it's only a few months old? (Which means it's on warranty so hopefully it covers that!!) Is this a common problem with this model?
But THANKYOU so much!! At least I know that it's likely a PSU issue not something worse ):

Acer is known for not making very high quality products so I'm not surprised this happened, considering it's still under waranty I'd RMA it asap. I work for the IT department of a company and acer's PSUs failing is not uncommon.

-edit- Before RMAing it I would save any important files on an external hard drive incase the problem is the port on the laptop and they just ship you a new one
