Both.

1st - Spybot S&D v1.3
2nd - SpywareBlaster 3.2
3rd - Ad-aware 6.0

I run all three and find each has it's place ...

It's Ad-Aware 6.0, from Lavasoft. I prefer this over spybot, but I run them both.
Spybot (and SpywareBlaster 3.2) block spyware ... ad-aware 6.0 only identifies and removes it after it's installed. I prefer to block the crap myself ... but I still scan with ad-aware to pick up anything that the others might have missed (if I forgot to update the definitions).

Spybot S&D itself recommends SpywareBlaster ...

I´ve been reading only the negative reviews on all these programs on downloads.com and a lot of people warn not to use these. Lots of similar problems and warnings of deleting windows files and network problems. I don´t know what to think now, but I´m still looking for a good SAFE program to install and remove all my ad/spy ware. Does anybody know anything about this?

I've been using Spybot and Ad-Aware and never had a problem with either of them. Easy install, no crashes, no conflicts with other programs.

Caution about download.com - they push apps that they get paid to push - for example, they recommend Spyhunter ... Spyhunter is spyware.

Listen to us - screw doenload.com

Use Spybot S&D, Spywareblaster and adaware 6.0 (get latest versions - do a search).

Perhaps the reason you're getting negative reviews on download.com - is because the good apps are free and download doesn't get a cent from the authors ...

Check this forum - some good advice can be found there ...
