Hello, I have a computer upstairs connected to internet through land line , I have a new router and want to use a laptop anywhere in the house with broadband.
Can someone tell me how to connect things up please.

your "landline" internet wire goes into router, your upstairs computer wire goes into the router. This will complete the hard lines set up and keep your upstairs computer online.

You will have to set up the wireless network security by accessing the router, you should refer to the router's user manual on exact instructions.

You laptop will then need to be set up to connect to the wireless network you created (this should be covered in the user manual for router or laptop)
