Adjust Screen Brightness Problem !

Hey guys . I have a laptop Dell Latitude E6400 and about 3 weeks ago I formatted it. Now I have a problem ! My laptop used to turn off display totally using Fn and down arrow key, but now the display dims about 90 % but it won't turn off totally. I'm glad to find this forum, maybe I'll get an answer. Thank you !

Yes, I made a driver analysis on the dell site several times, but the analysis says that I need a lot of drivers to install which in fact I really don't need at all. Once a time I installed a recomended driver from dell, and it caused me problems connecting to my wifi.
