Adobe Premier OR Sony Vegas Pro

Hi,

I recently wanted to edit videos and as you probably understood in the title of the thread, I'm hesitating between two video editing softwares: Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas Pro. I'm new to video editing, but learning doesn't scare me. If you could list the pros and cons of each, that'd be great

Part of the answer depends on whether or not you want to use a subscription based model for the software. Adobe Premiere CC is a subscription based software package whereas you pay a onetime fee for Vegas Pro. I haven't used the latest version of Vegas Pro so I can't fairly compare the two. Personally, I like and use Premiere Pro CC. I have been using Adobe products for years and have been pleased. In all fairness though I can't say it is better than Vegas Pro because I used an older version for only a short period of time.
