Advice on gaming laptop

I'm narrowing down my list of gaming laptops and so far for my budget (1k - 1.3k), I've found this one to be at the top of my list.

ASUS ROG G751JT-WH71(WX) Gaming Laptop 4th Generation Intel Core i7 4720HQ (2.60 GHz) 16 GB Memory 1 TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M 3 GB GDDR5 17.3" Windows 10 Home 64-Bit

The other one I looked at was the MSI.

MSI GE72 Apache Series Laptop

This laptop will be primarily for work as a Web Developer but I plan to hopefully ditch my Desktop rig and just have one machine for gaming as well. I'm not against getting a different type of ASUS, but from my research that looked like one of the better ones at that price point. So my question is

a. Is there anything negative that I'm missing about the above mentioned ASUS?

b. Am I missing any other laptops out there that can compete for the $$?

Any help / advice would be much appreciated.
