I reformatted and restored my laptop to factory default a few months ago using Acer eRecovery Management. After restoring my laptop and installing the needed drivers and what not, I found out that games that I used to be able to play before I restored was not playable due to the laptop overheating and shutting down. I have installed all my graphic card drivers and updated my BIOS. My CPU fan doesn't seem to run, I cannot hear the fan spinning or feel the vibration on my laptop when it spins.

Okay, I have verified that the CPU fan is indeed running, but very slowly. I am still getting crashes regardless.

When idle, HW monitor shows that my CPU temperature is high.

All in celcius.

Yeah, those temps are too hot. I'd suggest doing what nforce4max suggests. Check on Acer's website to see if they have a service manual that shows how to open up the laptop. If not, you may be able to find a video that shows how to do so.
