Did you try side loading the Google Play Store on it? This works very well on older Fire tablets.

Assuming this still works, it would eliminate the biggest drawback to the tablet.

I'm curious why the Lenovo duet 3 was left out of the comparison. Similar specs, great value, and I would argue more capable of productivity based on the OS and external monitor functionality. I love Chrome OS for it's versatility after using all the different desktop and tablet platforms from apple, Microsoft and the smaller players.

Biggest tablet Amazon has ever released, yes. But certainly not the most expensive. The Fire HDX 8.9 started around $350 or $400 back in like 2013-14 before they gave up on high end devices.
