Why is it that AMD continues to lose hundreds of millions per Quarter and Hector Ruiz still has a job? Why is it that the upper management, who are directly responsible for the financial problems at AMD, continue to have jobs and continue to lay off the hard working employees that are trying to make AMD profitable?

There is more harm in replacing the captain when the ship has already hit the reef and is half sunk than in keeping him in charge.

I hope this does change the corporate culture at AMD for the better.

Something like this has been long overdue. Unfortunately, these sorts of things usually miss those who really need to be cut.
