amd or nvidea gpu

i want to purchase a latop with dedicated graphics but i am confused b/w amd and nvidea....my friend has i5 6th gen with 2 gb 930mx nvidea ...but still gta v is unplayable at that laptop..will 940 mx do the job...or should i look for amd gpu here...?

mohd786 The 940MX performance is only very slightly better than that of the 930MX. I cannot say which is better between Intel and AMD for mobile GPUs, without knowing the specific model of AMD that you're considering. Personally, I have no allegiance to either Intel or AMD; I simply want the best performance for my money. With that said, I'm very surprised that GTA V is unplayable on your friend's 930MX. What resolution is he playing it in? There are scores of people playing it in 1366 x 760 and 1280 x 720 resolutions with that card.

depends on the model of the card.the 940mx Gddr5 version should be good at 720p.what amd cards are u looking at?
