It's just not enough of a performance bump. A few sites had them for sale for like 150 bucks more for the 7950x. The 5950X is like a third the price when you factor in motherboard and DDR5 RAM it's even worse. And whichever one of the 5000 series with the 3D RAM or whatever is almost just as fast. If you are a few generations behind, go for it but if you have last gen, it's just not enough of improvement. Maybe next year or in a few months when they release versions with the 3D RAM.
