Amplifier and speaker combination??

Looking to pick up a cheap and amp and pair of speakers off of gumtree for my PC so i can upgrade from my TV speakers.

Im looking at a 200w stageline sta 100 amplifier and the speakers are the Kef Q15s which are 100w at 6ohms.

Was wondering how i work out what wattage amp i need for what wattage speakers that i pick and how does the resistance of the speakers factor in to that decision too.

It looks like 6ohm speakers will be OK with that amp. I see specs for 4ohms. The wattage of the amp really depends on how loud you intend to go. The 100W rating of the Kef speakers is a maximum. The amp is around 50W rms so you should be OK.
