Android buggy widgets for apps?

I recently installed AVG Free Mobile on my Galaxy S4 Mini from the Google PlayStore.I noticed that sometimes when I start it from the widget (for the 1st time) it freezes, so I have to delete the widget and put it on the home screen again in order to start the program from it.I also noticed that the widget for Clean Master also is sometimes buggy.For example, when I try to put the widget for it on my home screen, the widget does not appear the first time, so I have to restart my phone in order for it to appear.Any ideas why this issue occurs?Are the widgets for these PlayStore apps buggy or is there a problem with my smartphone?Thank you.
