I think the priority is for the defense force to improve their cyber defense, not to get the hackers laid.

Just saying. If they go outside like normal human beings, maybe they'll stop being butthurt at life and quit lashing out over the internet.

With computer skills like theirs, they won't have any issues getting laid as long as their social skills are even decent. Not everyone who is smart and works with computers is a completely failure in the social world. that's actually becoming quite the opposite these days.

On topic, good for them. At first I was skeptical about what all these groups are doing, but they're doing a good thing if you ask me. These organizations don't have crap for security, and have tons of valuable information. You wouldn't put your money in a bank with an open vault, no alarms, no cameras, and a sleeping teller at the desk would you? Half of these "safe sites" are exactly that in terms of security. If these guys keep doing enough damage, skills in the computer security field are going to become extremely valuable.

I wish they wouldn't publish military email ids and passwords though, because most of them would be normal soldiers i guess, who've nothing to do with all this...

Oh God...not the TSA. It's bad enough that they want to feel my crotch area now. If they do anymore with me, I'm going to require a woman to examine me.

What "soldiers" over here dear, it's an external military contractor apparently specialising in cibersecurity - like kibersecurity should be specialists - no soldiers there - and they are not skrewing with just people.

[citation][nom]mikeynavy1976[/nom]Military don't even access e-mail with a username and password anymore.[/citation]

Yeah I'm calling BS on their announcements, that or they grossly oversimplified. Military now use something called a Common Access Card, or CAC. It's a combined ID Card + Smart card that contains their PKI certificate and private / public key pair along with other biological data. These CAC's are used to access DoD information systems on the NIPRnet and is linked with their AKO (Army) or DKO / NKO (everyone else) accounts.

There are no username/password combo's other then the initial temporary one given when you first join but haven't registered your CAC yet and that's only good for 56 days or until you register your CAC, whichever comes first.

Yep. The first time I saw one, I thought they were kind of neat - way smarter than my old ID card.

My vote would be for the TSA and the BATF.

Why don't they do something more morally acceptable? Instead of invading the privacy of military personell, why not expose people who download child porn?

Why do these idiots go after people who never hurt anyone when they could be going after REAL scum?

Expose inside trading e-mails. Expose the child internet porn rings.

Don't waste everyone's time screwing with innocent people who probably don't even know or care what you're doing.

Go after CRIMINALS.

Why should they get hired?? Do we hire cat burglars as security guards?? No we hire people who are responsible. Maybe their problem is not getting laid, but rather actually getting a job...

Actually some burglars do get hired by security companies as advisers, gotta think of it as who best to find your products flaws then someone who used to make a living by exploiting those flaws. Of course the ones who do get hired are reformed criminals (yes they exist) and they make much more money working with the companies then working against them and they know it.
